The CP2102 USB 2.0 to TTL UART Serial Converter Module is a compact device designed to facilitate communication between a computer or other USB-enabled device and a microcontroller or other UART-enabled device. It connects to a computer or USB-enabled device via a USB 2.0 interface and features a TTL UART interface, allowing communication with microcontrollers, sensors, and other devices that use UART serial communication. Utilizing the CP2102 USB-to-UART bridge controller chip, it provides reliable and high-performance serial communication. The module can operate at either 3.3V or 5V, making it compatible with a wide range of microcontroller and device voltage levels. With its compact design, LED indicators for power and data transmission status, and driver support for various operating systems, the CP2102 module is suitable for programming microcontrollers, debugging hardware, and interfacing with sensors and other peripherals in a variety of applications.

  • RST = Normally Unconnected. Reset Pin for CP2102. Initiate a system reset by driving this pin low for atleast 15 µs.
  • GND = Should be common to microcontroller ground.
  • 3V3 = Optional output to power external circuit upto 50mA.
  • 5V = Optional output to power external circuit up to 100mA
