Features:

  • Buck converter input voltage range is DC 5.3-32V; output voltage range is DC 1.2-32V, can be arbitrary adjustable; output current can be 8A for long term use, if enhance heat dissipation, it can reach 12A; max output power is 120W, if enhance dissipation, it can reach 160W.
  • LCD Display: the voltage regulator module is designed with LCD, can display input and output voltage, output current and output power; voltage display resolution is 0.05V, current display resolution is 0.005A.
  • Safe Protection: the volt conversion board is with reverse connection protection at input terminal, reverse connection will not burn; short circuit protection.
  • Application: the power supply can be used as an ordinary buck module with over-current protection; used as a battery charger; used as a high-power LED constant current driver module.
  • Button Control: button control output voltage ON / OFF status, and you can set the default output state is ON or OFF of the next time power-on.
Note:
  • Module input IN- cannot short circuit with output OUT-, otherwise constant current function will be invalid. 
  • Please make sure that the power of the power supply is greater than the power required by the output load. Please reduce the power when the module is extremely hot.

I purchased the drok Buck converter and it came in within a couple of days but the LCD screen did not light up properly so I returned it and two days later they sent me a new one and it works perfect.

This comes like a little kit with the main board and clear plexiglass top/bottom plates. I ordered some usb-c cables with +/- wires on the output side, and a JST connector on the input. No need for a voltmeter to test as the display shows you in/out voltage when you press one of the buttons. After hooking up a 4 cell lipo for input, i turned the CV screw in order to set the output to 5V for usb. Now I have a field charger for usb devices such as my dji mini-4k, and I can connect any input battery such as a lipo pack or even a 120V/12V power supply. Tried charging a DJI battery and it appeared to adjust the output amps according to the battery to be charged. This is perfect for quick charging in the field.

This thing is completely cool looking with great functionality. I use it to replace two D-cell replaceable batteries used as an igniter in a water heater in my van-life vehicle. I already have solar power, so it seems silly to me to use disposable batteries when I already have available electricity.

Didn’t realize assembly would be required. No soldering, just attaching precut acrylic to provide protection to the module and sticking on a heat sink.Once assembled I ran 20v in and adjusted to get 12 volts out.Adjustment is very fine, to the hundredth of a volt. Output was very steady and voltage remained where I set it even after disconnecting and recharging the battery I was using as a power source several times.Instructions were unfortunately the typical poor English you receive with this sort of thing. A diode was also included but not referenced in the instructions. Maybe I missed it but not sure why it was in the package.Overall this was a huge improvement over using an inverter to create 110v only to have another power supply turn that into 12 volts. Run time that way was 5ish hours. Keeping everything DC I get a runtime of about 10 hours

I use this to power DIY projects rather than spending money on a high dollar desktop power supply. It is simple to use, provides plenty of power for my needs and is well priced. I have no worries about permanently installing one of these if needed and worst case if it burns out it is easy to replace.

I used these on my switching bench power for normal devices like raspberry pis. I use something much better on my linear power supply when I need the most stable and clean power. Still, this darn thing is handy. You can get them a bit cheaper direct from China, but not by much so I consider this a fair price and good shipping on Amazon.
