Description
A load cell is a device that converts the applied force into an electrical signal that is proportional to its magnitude. There are different kinds of load cells, such as hydraulic, pneumatic and strain gauge load cells.
This load cell can measure weight up to 1 kg. The load cell’s output is in millivolts, which is too low for a microcontroller to read directly. Therefore, a high-resolution ADC or an instrumentation amplifier is needed to amplify the load cell’s output for a microcontroller.
