The Turbidity Sensor Module is an effective solution for measuring the turbidity (clarity or cloudiness) of liquids caused by suspended particles. Designed for compatibility with Arduino and similar microcontroller platforms, this module is ideal for applications in industries such as washing machines, water purification, and environmental monitoring. The sensor works by emitting light into the liquid, and measuring the amount of scattered light caused by particles in the water. This information is then converted into an analog signal that can be interpreted by a microcontroller. In washing machines, it can be used to detect water clarity, ensuring optimal washing performance, or in industrial applications, it helps monitor the quality of water during processing. The portable design makes it easy to integrate into various systems, offering real-time turbidity measurement for water quality management.

The turbidity of water refers to the degree of turbidity caused by suspended substances such as silt, clay, organic matter, plankton and microorganisms contained in the water. Industrial-grade turbidity sensors or turbidity meters are expensive, and the cost is too high in the design of electronic products. Therefore, we have selected a turbidity sensor that is widely used in household appliances, washing machines, and dishwashers. The sensor uses optical principles to comprehensively judge the turbidity through the light transmittance and scattering rate in the solution. Inside the sensor is an infrared tube.
